Managed IT + secure AI · Dallas–Fort Worth
Cydekick is the outsourced IT department for 5–50 person businesses. We manage your computers, accounts, email, networks and backups — and help your team use ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools without losing track of where your information goes.
On-site across Dallas–Fort Worth. Remote support everywhere else.
Your business
Beside you,
at the edge
Sound familiar?
Years of quick fixes, departed employees and “we’ll sort it out later” add up. None of it is a crisis on its own — until the day it is. Now AI tools are being added to the pile, often without anyone deciding the rules.
Managed IT
We manage your computers, accounts, backups, networks and business technology so you don’t have to become the IT department. One team that knows your setup, answers when you call, and writes everything down in your name.
Windows, Mac and Linux support, remote and on-site.
Users, email, files, licenses and security settings.
Firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi and multi-location links.
File servers, NAS, hosting and the odd legacy box.
Designed, monitored and restore-tested.
Onboarding and offboarding done the same way, every time.
Secure AI
AI tools are genuinely useful, and banning them rarely works. But when employees sign up with personal accounts, company information ends up in places nobody chose, under terms nobody read.
We set up business AI accounts your company owns, write a policy people can follow, review what’s connected to what, and train your team with examples from your own work.
The distinction that matters
“Not used for training”
The provider won’t use your content to improve its models under that plan.
“Never leaves your company”
Only true when processing happens on systems you control. Cloud AI always sends data to the provider.
They are not the same promise. We make sure your staff — and your policy — know the difference.
How we deploy AI securelyAI data boundaries
Most employees won’t read a twelve-page AI policy. They will remember green, yellow and red. We tailor the examples to your business and match each level to the AI tools that are allowed to handle it.

Approved cloud AI
Everyday working knowledge that isn't meant for the public.
For example
Business AI workspace, under policy
Information that would cause real harm if it were exposed.
For example
Private AI — or no AI at all
Private AI
Some information is too sensitive to send to any outside provider. Private AI runs a capable model on a server you own — in your office or a private environment you control — so prompts and documents are processed there instead.

AI knowledge base
Give employees a secure AI assistant that answers questions using approved company documents: procedures, policies, manuals and product information. Every answer links to its source, and nobody sees content from folders they can’t already open.

What do we need before a new subcontractor starts a job?
According to the subcontractor onboarding procedure, three things must be on file first: a signed agreement, a current certificate of insurance, and a W-9. The office manager then creates their vendor record.

Ownership
Your domain, your Microsoft or Google tenant, your AI workspaces, licenses and data belong to your business. Cydekick works through delegated admin access that you can revoke at any time.
No domains held hostage. No accounts only we can log in to. If you ever leave, you get a documented handoff and we remove ourselves — cleanly.
Owned and controlled by you

Named accounts. Logged. Revocable by you at any time.
Security fundamentals
Small businesses rarely need exotic security tools. They need the fundamentals in place, checked and kept that way.
How we work
We start by finding out what you actually have, fix what’s urgent, then settle into steady management with regular reviews — so things get better over time instead of drifting.
We inventory devices, accounts, admin access, backups, security settings and AI use, and find out who actually owns what.
Fix the urgent gaps first: recover admin control, enforce MFA, confirm backups work, close old accounts.
Standardize devices and accounts, roll out approved AI tools and policy, and document everything in your name.
Day-to-day support, patching, monitoring, onboarding and offboarding, and AI user and cost administration.
Regular reviews of what's changed, what's aging, which vendor terms moved, and what to plan for next.
Questions
Yes, at any time. We work through named, delegated administrator accounts in systems you own — not by borrowing your personal login. Removing those accounts, or the delegated-admin relationship, ends our access. We show you where each one lives during onboarding and keep that list current in your documentation.
Yes. When someone types or uploads information into ChatGPT, it is sent over the internet to OpenAI's systems to be processed. That's true on every plan. Business plans change what OpenAI may do with that data — for example training defaults, retention and admin controls — but they don't keep the information inside your office.
"Not used for training" is not the same as "never leaves your company." This is the most important distinction we help clients understand.
You do. Your domain should be registered in an account owned by your business, with your business listed as the registrant, and with you able to log in. If it's currently under a former employee, a web designer or an old IT provider, recovering it is one of the first things we help with. We manage DNS through delegated access — we don't hold domains in our own name.
Yes. We can design, install and manage a local AI system: the server hardware, the models, local document search, company sign-in, encrypted storage, backups, patching and monitoring. It can be configured so that prompts and documents don't go to an outside AI provider.
"Local" still needs care: the server must be secured, backed up and kept up to date, and any remote management or software updates are planned so they don't quietly open a path out. We document exactly what connects to what.
You leave with everything. Because your accounts, domain, licenses and data are already in your name, there is nothing to transfer back. We provide a documented handoff: the systems we managed, where admin access lives, what we're removing, and anything your next provider should know. Then we remove our access and confirm it in writing.
We work with many kinds of small businesses, but we don't claim any automatic compliance status — for example HIPAA, PCI DSS, CJIS, SOC 2 or legal-industry requirements. Regulated organizations often need specific contracts (such as business associate agreements), additional technical controls and review by their own compliance or legal advisors.
If you're regulated, tell us early. We'll be honest about what we can support, what would need to be added, and when a specialist is the better fit.
A technology review is a short, practical look at your accounts, devices, backups, security and AI use. You get a plain-language summary of what's working, what's risky and what to fix first — whether or not you hire us.
